Green Building - Energy Efficiency

MerryPlace has teamed with Florida Public Utilities, FPL Buildsmart®, and the Florida Green Building Coalition to develop the energy efficient home designs for MerryPlace condominiums, townhouses, and single family homes. This partnership and energy efficiency measures will lower electricity, water, and gas bills, and create healthier homes.

What It Means To Be Green

"Green Features" are included in every unit. Green features include: waste minimization and material recycling during the construction process, native landscaping, high efficiency drip irrigation, added building insulation, Energy Star appliances and fixtures, low VOC paints and caulks, state of the art ventilation systems, moisture barriers, minimal use of carpeting, and an innovative resident education program that includes financial incentives for energy efficient living.

Green Building

MerryPlace has teamed with local utility providers to build energy efficient homes. Each unit will include energy efficient appliances which will lower gas and electric bills for all residents of MerryPlace. MerryPlace will be a certified Green Community, as recognized by the Florida Green Building Coalition. Every homeowner within MerryPlace can expect to enjoy utility bills that are at least 10-15% lower than a standard unit.
